Political Grandstanding

One (of many) things I hate about traveling is it puts me behind the news cycle.

This resolution coming out of the Senate against the troop surge in Iraq is nothing but political grandstanding.  The Senate as zero power in the matter.  They might was well try to repeal the law of gravity (and this group might try, right after repealing the laws of supply and demand with their minimum wage increase).

All the Democrats want to do is hurt Bush politically.  And a lot of idiot Republicans are helping them (what the hell is Peggy Noonan thinking praising Chuck Hegel for his performance?).

I wonder if Republican's resolution calling for Clinton to remove troops from Bosnia in 1997 got this much publicity?  I doubt it.

Democrats want to micromanage this war?  Then let them take the blame.
